MyStorageAI Visibility Strategy
MyStorage built Saigon’s first self-storage facility and now leads its market on every classical SEO metric we measured. Your SEO team has done real work, and it shows. This document covers the next race: the answers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI give when your customers ask who to trust, where MyStorage already wins, where competitors are quietly taking territory, and a fixed-scope 90-day plan to lock the lead in.
“Saigon Digital transformed how Ski.com shows up online. Beyond rebuilding our platform, they helped us rethink our entire search and AI visibility strategy. We saw a significant uplift in organic traffic, our content started appearing in AI-generated travel recommendations, and the quality of inbound leads improved dramatically. They understand where digital discovery is heading and how to turn visibility into real commercial results.”

The rules of brand discovery have fundamentally changed
Search Has Evolved. Your Strategy Must Too.
An expat planning a six-month trip home, a family between apartments, an office manager drowning in filing boxes: more and more of them now open ChatGPT or see Google’s AI Overview before they ever click a blue link. The AI answers with a shortlist of two or three storage providers, and the customer acts on it. There is no page two.
Here is the good news, and we want to say it plainly: your SEO team has already won the classical race. MyStorage holds the strongest domain authority, the most ranking keywords and the most organic traffic of every direct competitor we measured. This proposal is not about redoing their work. It is about adding the layer that sits on top of it, so the authority they built converts into AI recommendations too.
Traditional SEO (your team owns this)
- Rankings and traffic volume
- Backlink authority
- Compete for 10 blue links
- Page-level optimisation
- Won by MyStorage already
AI Visibility (the open flank)
- Being the named recommendation
- Entity clarity AI engines can parse
- Cited sources: listicles, forums, reviews
- Answer-ready content structure
- Still up for grabs in Vietnam
AI engines build their shortlists from signals you can influence: structured schema, machine-readable files like llms.txt, third-party listicles and community mentions, and content written as answers rather than marketing copy. MyStorage already has more of these foundations than almost any Vietnamese SMB we have audited. They are just unfinished, and your competitors are moving.
The Critical Window
KingKho is publishing expat storage guides that own the Hanoi AI answers today. V-Box dominates the Vietnamese-language and price-led queries. Nobody yet owns the community channels AI trusts most for local recommendations. The brand that consolidates its AI presence first gets compounding returns; catching up later costs far more than leading now.
The Audit: Where Are You Now?
What we found across SEO, AI platforms and your technical foundations
MyStorage: Digital Snapshot
Live metrics pulled July 2026. MyStorage leads its direct competitor set on every core measure.
Credit where it is due
Position 1 for “storage unit”. Position 1 for “cardboard boxes”. A ranking Vietnamese warehouse page. An llms.txt file that most agencies in Vietnam have never heard of. Whoever is running your SEO deserves recognition: this is the strongest storage-sector foundation we have measured in Vietnam. Everything in this proposal builds on that work rather than replacing it.
MyStorage vs. Key Competitors
Live Ahrefs data, July 2026. Classical SEO is won. But look at the V-Box row: the strongest challenger is winning with content breadth, not authority, exactly the play that works in AI answers.
| Company | Domain Rating | Ranking Keywords | Top 3 Positions | Organic Traffic /mo | Referring Domains |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MyStorage (mystorage.vn) | 37 | 167 | 72 | 2,194 | 622 |
| V-Box Self Storage | 8 | 112 | 38 | 805 | 443 |
| Cube Self Storage | 14 | 21 | 7 | 142 | 374 |
| Box N Lok | 4.5 | 50 | 8 | 220 | 358 |
| Saigon Storage (hcmstorage.com) | 8 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 372 |
| storagevietnam.com | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 369 |
The V-Box pattern is the warning worth heeding
With a Domain Rating of just 8, V-Box has built 112 ranking keywords and dominates the Vietnamese-language and price-led queries, the fastest-growing segment of the market. AI engines do not weigh backlinks alone the way classical rankings do; they also reward content breadth, price transparency and language coverage. V-Box is playing the AI-era game. MyStorage’s authority advantage is only a moat if it is converted into AI-visible signals.
AI Platform Visibility: MyStorage
We assessed MyStorage’s presence across the four major AI platforms, using each platform’s retrieval sources and live search evidence from July 2026.
6 Real Queries. 3 Clear Appearances.
We tested the questions your customers actually ask. The pattern is consistent: English and service-specific queries find MyStorage; Vietnamese, price-led and Hanoi queries do not.
The queries you are losing are the ones that decide the next five years
Vietnamese-language demand is the growth segment, and V-Box answers it with published prices from 1,460,000 VND per month. Hanoi is where MyStorage will eventually expand, and KingKho already owns its AI answers with a dedicated expat guide. These are not ranking problems; they are answer-territory problems, and territory can be reserved before you ever open a facility there.
Four Gaps Between MyStorage and Full AI Visibility
Verified directly against the live site in July 2026. Each is specific, fixable, and none of them steps on your SEO team’s workstream.
1. Machine-readable foundations are 80% built, and the last 20% is what AI reads
Your llms.txt file is a genuine head start (almost no Vietnamese SMB has one), but it is diluted with thank-you pages, test sliders and promo landing pages, and carries no usage terms. robots.txt does not declare your sitemap and has no AI-crawler policy. There is no dedicated Organization schema node (it piggybacks on the SelfStorage type), no x-default hreflang despite four languages, and the review schema carries a malformed rating field. Individually small; together they are the difference between an AI engine understanding MyStorage confidently or guessing.
2. The Vietnamese and price-intent battleground is conceded to V-Box
V-Box answers “thuê kho tự quản” queries with price-led, Vietnamese-first pages and takes the AI answers with them. MyStorage’s Vietnamese pricing exists (from 399,000 VND per month, it is even in your llms.txt) but is not structured the way answer engines lift content. This is the largest demand segment in the market and the one place a DR 8 competitor is beating a DR 37 leader.
3. Hanoi’s AI territory is being claimed by someone else
Every “storage in Hanoi” AI answer we tested centres on KingKho, which publishes exactly the kind of expat-guide content AI engines cite. MyStorage has no Hanoi presence, physical or digital. You do not need a facility to reserve the answer territory: comparison content, an expansion page and third-party mentions plant the flag years before demand converts, and cost almost nothing now versus fighting an incumbent later.
4. Zero presence on the channels AI trusts most, and so has everyone else
No substantive Reddit threads, no YouTube footprint, thin expat-forum coverage, for any HCMC storage brand. These community sources are what LLMs cite most heavily for local recommendations. The listicles that do exist (mytour.vn, vietnamdoneright.com) already name MyStorage, which proves the mechanism works. Whoever seeds the community layer first becomes the default citation for years.
We Practise What We Preach
Saigon Digital runs this exact playbook on our own agency. Ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity “who is the best SEO agency in Saigon?” and we are consistently among the first names given. Here is how that translates to commercial results.
Based on current reviews, client results and market presence, here are the leading SEO agencies in Ho Chi Minh City:
-
#1
Saigon DigitalFull-service digital agency specialising in technical SEO and AI search visibility, with international clients across 4 continents.
-
#2
SEONGONVietnam-focused Google marketing agency.
-
#3
Mona MediaWeb development and SEO services provider.
The Same Playbook for MyStorage
We did not buy our way into AI answers; we structured our way in. Entity-clean schema, answer-ready pages, citations on the sources AI reads. MyStorage starts from a stronger position than we did: higher traffic, more referring domains, an established brand and a category with far clearer buyer intent. The same playbook, applied to the gaps above, is how “best storage in Saigon” becomes a one-name answer.
How Do We Get There?
The AIO/GEO Starter: a fixed-scope 90-day engagement
The 5-Phase Plan
Everything below is designed to complement your in-house SEO team: they keep owning rankings and content velocity; we build the AI layer, hand over the tooling, and prove the movement with a before-and-after re-test.
Baseline & Share of Voice
- Full AI visibility baseline across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews: verbatim answers, screenshots, English and Vietnamese prompt sets
- Share-of-voice analysis against V-Box, Cube and KingKho: who gets cited, for which questions, and why
- Prompt tracking set agreed with your team, so every later claim is measurable
Technical GEO Foundation
- llms.txt cleaned and rebuilt: junk entries out, licensing terms in, priority services and pricing structured for AI consumption
- robots.txt: sitemap declaration and explicit AI-crawler policy for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended
- Schema repair: dedicated Organization node with sameAs links, Service and Offer typing on service pages, FAQ rollout, review-schema fix, x-default hreflang
- Entity foundation: consistent name, description and category across Google Business Profile and the directories AI trusts
Answer-Ready Content
- 3 to 4 priority pages created or restructured in question-and-answer format targeting the exact prompts from the baseline
- The Vietnamese price-intent battleground: structured, price-transparent VN content built to take the “thuê kho tự quản” answers back from V-Box
- English expat relocation storage page for the Thao Dien / An Phu corridor (today only Japanese and Korean versions exist)
- Content realignment advisory for your team: shifting blog investment from off-topic traffic toward storage intent
Off-Site Signals & Community Seeding
- Placement and clean-up across the listicles, directories and review sources AI engines cite for HCMC storage
- Community-channel seeding: authentic Reddit and expat-forum presence, the first-mover position nobody in the market holds
- Brand-mention pass: find and correct where the web describes MyStorage wrongly or not at all
- Hanoi territory reservation: expansion-ready comparison content that plants the flag before demand arrives
Re-Test, Optimise & Roadmap
- Full re-test of the Month 1 prompt set across all four engines, side by side, so the movement is undeniable
- Optimisation round two: double down on what moved, fix what did not
- AI citation monitoring handed to your team, with the tracking framework documented
- 12-month roadmap: what to keep doing in-house, and what (if anything) is worth continuing with us
The Prompts and Keywords MyStorage Should Own
Split into high-intent service demand and brand-defining territory. Final prompt commitments are locked in the Month 1 baseline, with volumes confirmed once Search Console access is shared.
Service Demand Bucket
Brand & Territory Bucket
*These are the proposed priority targets. Final commitments are agreed in the Month 1 baseline, with projections refined once Ahrefs and Search Console access are shared.
90-Day KPI Trajectory
AI-layer metrics only: your SEO team keeps owning rankings and traffic, and these targets are designed to be re-tested publicly at the end of Month 3.
| Metric | Baseline (Jul 2026) | Month 1 | Month 2 | Month 3 Target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tracked prompts where MyStorage is cited | 3 of 6 | Baseline expanded to 20+ prompts | Movement on VN + price prompts | 60 to 70% of tracked prompts |
| Vietnamese-language AI answers naming MyStorage | Minority vs V-Box | Content structured | Answers shifting | Parity or better on core VN prompts |
| AI-crawler readiness (llms.txt, robots, schema) | Partial, diluted | Fully clean | Maintained | Reference-grade |
| Third-party citation sources naming MyStorage | 2 verified listicles | Audit complete | Placements live | 6+ quality sources |
| Hanoi answer-territory presence | Zero | Strategy set | Content live | Cited in expansion-intent answers |
Targets are honest projections, not guarantees: AI answers are probabilistic and engine behaviour shifts. That is exactly why the engagement is built around a measured baseline and a public re-test.

Investment
One fixed price, defined deliverables, 90 days
The AIO/GEO Starter
A productised, fixed-scope engagement. No retainer, no lock-in, no hourly meters: a defined 90-day sprint with a measured before-and-after.
| Month | Focus | Key Deliverables |
|---|---|---|
| Month 1 | Baseline & Foundation | 4-engine AI visibility baseline with screenshots · competitor share-of-voice · llms.txt + robots + schema + entity fixes |
| Month 2 | Content & Authority | 3–4 answer-ready pages (VN pricing, expat EN, B2B) · citation-source placements · community seeding · Hanoi territory content |
| Month 3 | Proof & Roadmap | Full re-test vs baseline · optimisation round two · monitoring handover · 12-month roadmap |
Fixed price for the full 90-day scope as one integrated engagement; the phases share a baseline, tooling and re-test, which is what makes the price possible. Standard Saigon Digital terms. If the re-test results speak for themselves, we talk about what comes next; if not, you keep every fix, every page and the monitoring framework.
The ROI Perspective
MyStorage units run from 399,000 VND per month for shelf space to multi-million VND business units, and storage customers stay for months or years. A handful of AI-referred customers over the engagement covers the fee; the answer territory you lock in compounds long after the 90 days end. The alternative is watching a DR 8 competitor keep taking the growth queries.
The Shift Is Already Here
AI-assisted research is no longer an early-adopter behaviour, and Vietnam’s expat and urban middle-class segments (your customers) skew heavily toward it.
The Window Is Now
AI answers are sticky: once an engine settles on its trusted sources for a market, displacing them takes multiples of the effort. Vietnam’s storage category has not settled yet. MyStorage can enter that window as the incumbent with the strongest foundations, or enter late as the challenger. The first option is cheaper, faster and available for roughly one more competitive cycle.
